Definitely Superior Art Gallery + Vox Popular Media Arts Festival have joined forces to co-present 3 new exhibitions, regional | national | International and more…delving into the visually dynamic contemporary world of art.

Liminal: [is a word for the inbetween, it describes states, times, spaces etc…that exist at a point of change. It has served as a basis for words such as sublime: lofty in conception or expression] Liminal, the theme for our 37th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition, is an open regional call for entry format and is designed with the following objective in mind: that local/regional professional emerging/established artists are given an opportunity to consider the relevance of the concept of Liminal in terms of their own experiences, interpretations and relationships to current contemporary art practice.

Call for submission drop off dates: August 26-30 at Definitely Superior Art Gallery. Artists are invited to submit up to two artworks and brief artist statement on how your work may relate to the theme of Liminal for their participation.

DefSup + Vox Popular adhere to our mandates of identifying and encouraging contemporary artists working in all media and engaging ourselves to identify our place and role as contributors in the regional and national context. CARFAC fees paid to successful applicants.

Please join us for the Gala Opening Reception and more Birthday celebrations for a glittery 37th Anniversary of Definitely Superior Art Gallery and 21st Anniversary of the Vox Popular Film Festival. This promises to be a huge and swishy spectacular event, as well an open invitation to the hundreds of artists | musicians | performers and volunteers for a grand and gleeful appreciation for all the work you do!
