Definitely Superior invites proposals from artists and curators for upcoming exhibitions. Our purpose is to encourage contemporary artistic endeavors in all media. We also foster experimental cultural development in art production, particularly those exhibitions that are politically and socially engaging. As a member of ARCCO, the gallery is committed to paying current CARFAC artist fees for all selected exhibitions. The gallery covers exhibition related costs (installation, invitations, mailing, opening reception, artists travel, hotel, talks, workshops, per diem) as well as assisting with the cost of shipping up to a value of $300.00. Exhibitions are selected by the Programming Committee, made up of artists and curators, who are members of the organization. Please include:
1. a cover letter
2. an artist statement
3. an exhibition proposal
4. 10-20 slides of recent work
5. curriculum vitae
6. support material
7. Self addressed stamped envelope if you wish to have the submission returned after it has been reviewed.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS GENERALLY OCTOBER 1ST OF EACH YEAR WITH THE PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE SELECTING SHOWS FOR THE NEXT YEARS SCHEDULE, OTHERWISE YOU CAN SUBMIT AT ANY TIME.
